Join the mechanics of the Spearfish Bicycle Collective to learn about Bike Maintenance and Fine Tuning. From pumping tires to cleaning and lubing your chain to making small adjustments to your brakes and derailleurs, this class will have you bike rolling smoothly and quietly! All levels welcome! Please bring your own bike to work on.

Dakota Five-0 After Party at Killian’s
Hosted at Killian's Tavern (539 W. Jackson Blvd). Live music at 8pm, a great menu selection, and a wide variety of drink choices. Bike will be raffled off at 10pm, must be present to win! Makes for a great way to finish off a perfect weekend!

Kids Boat Races
Spearfish City Campground Boat Race - Boat race from the bridge below Hydro plant to the bridge by Skating Rink. Rules are: Must have a name or number on it. No registration, just name on the boat. We will have some sharpies at the start area. One race only. Prizes for top 3 finishers. Prize for coolest boat.
Community Garden Tour
Garden Tour of Spearfish by bicycle - Meet at the Spearfish Community Gardens on Elgin Street in Spartan Park. The ride will include a tour of the Community Gardens with Master Gardener(s) and a leisurely ride to three different home gardens in town & a City park with a pollinator garden.
Pieces of Pie at the Pavilion
Pieces of Pie at the Pavilion! Enjoy homemade pie by the slice for suggested donation of $5 to raise funds for the Spearfish Bicycle Collective. Located in the Spearfish Pavilion along with packet pick up.

Dakota Five-0 Pre-Party
Join the Dakota Five-0 crew for a great party celebrating all things bicycles in the City Park with live music, food and drink/beer, industry vendors, and local vendors selling goods. Mountain Bike Ride at Lookout
Join Rushmore Bikes on this group mountain bike ride and meet fellow MTB enthusiasts! Riders will meet at Nevada Street Trailhead for Lookout Mountain.
Bicycle Poker Ride
This bicycle based poker ride will start at Killian’s (539 W. Jackson Blvd) and will end at Public House (729 N 7th St). Come join the fun!
annual Bike Week Pub Crawl Poker Run! The Crawl will start at Killian's and end at Spearfish Public House with live music by A-Mac & The Height!
You will collect a card at every location, and the person with the best poker hand at the end will win a custom Grizzly Cooler!

Bicycle Scavenger Hunt
Put on your sleuth hat and follow scavenger hunt clues around town by bicycle! Be quick or slow, prizes for all! Starts and ends at Killian’s (539 W. Jackson Blvd). This scavenger hunt is usually around 6-9 miles and does involve riding on roads around town.
Kids Scavenger Hunt
Meet near the Pickle Ball Courts in City Park. The Scavenger Hunt is being hosted by Spearfish Spanish - little kiddos can stretch their Strider legs on the rec path in the park, hunt for clues, AND learn some Spanish vocabulary!
Ride to Bridal Veil Falls
Join this group road ride starting at Two Wheeler Dealer (305 N Main St.) and cycling up Spearfish Canyon to Bridal Veil Falls! No drop (no one left behind) and all ability levels are welcome. E-bikes, mountain bikes, unicycles and everything in between are welcome! Burgers and dogs will be provided at the shop after the ride.
Community Ride
This all levels and family friendly ride will start in Spearfish City Park, meander around town and then return to Spearfish City Park to share some burgers, dogs, and veggie curry kindly supplied by Killian’s! The ride is usually around 3 miles total, 4-5mph.

Bike To Work Day Breakfast Tent
Bicycle Commuters! Join us as we celebrate you with coffee, tea, and homemade donuts. Kick off a wonderful season of riding to work, school, errands, wherever! We will be celebrating all things bicycle in the old Pizza Hut parking lot on the corner of 3rd and Jackson.
Tweed Poker Ride
A bicycle based Poker Run touring local breweries and watering holes, starts at Killians, please bring bike lights. Dress in your finest tweeds.

The Joy of Learning is a series of talks presented by BHSU faculty and a few supportive friends who are experts in their fields. These talks will probably not help anyone acquire a skill or solve a problem. The purpose is simply to inspire delight in learning something new.

Earth Day Gear Swap
Spearfish Bicycle Collective is working with BHSU to host its first bicycle gear swap at the BHSU Earth Day Celebration. Do you have tons of bicycle parts, gear, a bike or two taking up space in your garage that need to find a new home? Come set out a blanket or a table (tables will not be provided) and trade or sell used gear and bike parts among fellow bike nerds. This is a DIY swap event. There are no consignment fees taken. The Spearfish Bicycle Collective will be present with some adult bicycles for suggested donations and a small amount of free kids bicycles. The Bicycle Collective will not be accepting bike or gear donations at this event. The swap area will be located on the BHSU campus green close to the student union (the SW corner).
Moving Day
We are losing our current space on 4/15 and need help moving to storage on Saturday 4/13. We need people to help load and unload and folks to help drive trucks and trailers to our storage space. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers.

Need a new-to-you bike? We have an assortment of used bikes and we can help you get going on one of those as well!

Want to practice your bike mechanic skills? Come in and tinker on shop bikes or your own in this relaxed educational space. Ask all the questions, turn weird screws, and eat some pizza with fellow bike nerds. Open to all volunteers current, previous, and prospective.
